Started in 1999, set up as a joint venture between Housing Development Finance Corporation Limited (“HDFC”) and Standard Life Investments Limited (“SLI”). During FY18-19 carried out an initial public offering, and became a publicly listed company in August 2018. Currently, 20% of the company is owned by the public. HDFC Asset Management Company (“HDFC AMC”) is the investment manager to the schemes of HDFC Mutual Fund (“HDFC MF”).
