Founded in 2008 by Rajesh Tiwari, a former banker and a fund manager, Chanakya Capital Services Private Limited (CCSPL) is a portfolio management company. CCSPL is a culmination of Mr. Tiwari’s long and distinguished experience first as a fund manager with Unit Trust of India where he set up India’s first Equity research division within an investment house, and later as a head of corporate credit in Axis Bank. Chanakya strengthened its senior capabilities, when Gautami Desai, a former fund manager with Unit Trust of India (UTI) came on board in 2008 as Business Partner. A hands-on fundamental research analyst at heart, Gautami brings rigour to the research process and vast experience of deploying over USD 500 million into Indian equities.
